The trip starts from Nida famous for its dunes, continues across the rippled Curonian Lagoon to the Nemunas delta, along the Minija River towards the ethnographic village of Minge, which is called the small Venice of Lithuania, from where your journey will continue on a bus to the Vente Cape.
Minge (or Minija) village is unique for being situated on the both banks of the river. The only street in this village is the river, while locals can reach each other only by boat.
After mooring near one of the houses in Minge, the captain will cook his signature chowder and prepare some snacks on the land. While the captain with the team will be preparing a picnic, you will travel to the Vente Cape by bus, will visit the Ornithological Station situated in the very tip of the cape, where an experienced ornithologist will greet you and deliver a tour. You will be offered to climb to one of seven lighthouses in Lithuania – Vente Lighthouse, built in 1863, and admire the breath-taking views of the Curonian Lagoon, Curonian Spit, Rusne Island.
After returning by bus to the famous village, you will be treated to delicious chowder cooked on fire, snacks. We will travel back to Nida followed by seagulls and admiring the white sand dunes fat in the horizon.
